Oxlade-Chamberlain opened the scoring 11 minutes into England’s 1,000th international match – a Euro 2020 qualifier against Montenegro at Wembley.
Collecting a pass on the right-hand side of the penalty area, the Liverpool midfielder coolly controlled the ball and drove a finish across goal.
Oxlade-Chamberlain went on to play 56 minutes as the Three Lions won 7-0, a result that confirmed their qualification for next year’s finals.
Trent Alexander-Arnold – who claimed an assist for England’s fifth of the night – started and completed the game while Joe Gomez was introduced as a substitute for the last 20 minutes.
