The departing Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has pledged to always be there for the city he has called home for nine years.
The German, who was honoured with the freedom of Liverpool in 2022 for his commitment to the city, told his final pre-match press conference it was "wonderful to know that I spent a big time of my life here".
He said Liverpudlians were "as close as possible" to perfection in how they treated people and he took the honour he was given seriously.
"Probably for a lot of people [it is] rather funny, for me, it feels like responsibility," he said.
