Huddersfield Town's penalty hero Danny Ward faces another shoot-out when he returns to Liverpool this summer with Jurgen Klopp ready to weigh up his goalkeeping options.

Even if Huddersfield get promoted Ward will spend pre-season with Liverpool after a fine campaign in the Championship as Klopp wants him to compete for a place.

The 23-year-old is highly thought of at Anfield and could challenge Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius for the No 1 spot when Liverpool travel to the Far East this summer.

Ward has a genuine chance of displacing one or both in the pecking order but he could possibly be loaned back to Huddersfield should David Wagner's side beat Reading at Wembley to reach the Premier League.
