The midfielder has been included on the six-person shortlist for the prize and is up against Lewis Hamilton, Stuart Broad, Hollie Doyle, Ronnie O'Sullivan and Tyson Fury.
The show begins at 8pm GMT and the winner will be determined by public vote.
