Jermain Defoe has full confidence that Rangers boss Steven Gerrard is going to become one of the top managers in the game.
Gerrard is nearing the end of his second season at Ibrox and is already being talked up as future manager of Liverpool, the club where he became a legend as a player.
The 39-year-old still has plenty of work to do in Glasgow, however, having recently signed a new contract keeping him there until 2024.
And Defoe certainly believes he is going to achieve plenty of success.
'I have to give a shout out to my current manager, Mr Gerrard,' said the striker, who is on loan at Rangers from Bournemouth.
