Cardiff City have won the race to sign Liverpool winger Harry Wilson on loan, and will secure the season-long agreement before Friday's deadline.
Liverpool had been looking to sell Wilson this summer though had failed to find suitors willing to meet their initial £20million valuation for the Welshman.
Now Cardiff have swooped in with a late loan offer which will be concluded before the deadline and see Wilson spend the campaign in Wales, as report the Athletic.
Earlier in the transfer window Liverpool rejected the attempts of Burnley to sign the 23-year-old after Sean Dyche's side would not provide a £15m upfront payment.
