The FA have revealed their plans to trial the use of referee body cameras in adult grassroots football starting weekend.
The trial will take place across four adult grassroot leagues in England. Those will include in Middlesbrough, Liverpool, Worcester and Essex.
The purpose of the trial is to act as a deterrent against physical and verbal abuse towards officials, which has become a cause for concern in the grassroots game.
The news of the trial comes shortly after the BBC announced that 900 referees in England had responded to a Radio 5 Live questionnaire about safety at grassroots level.
