A golf fan hit the deck and was left bloodied after he was hit by an Adam Scott shot at The Open.
Christopher Ineson, 34, took to Twitter to reveal that he received a gift and note from the Australian star after the incident in Liverpool on Thursday.
Ineson - a chef and brewery owner - was unable to duck out of the way despite huge shouts of 'fore' as Scott's drive off the 18th hole headed towards the crowd.
The ball smacked him in the head, causing him to fall to the ground.
