'Going for trophies, a captain with less emotion might be better': Bruno Fernandes is NOT the long-term solution as Manchester United captain, insists Paul Scholes after his Anfield antics

Paul Scholes believes Manchester United need a less emotional captain than Bruno Fernandes if they are to battle for major silverware in the future.

Fernandes has been widely criticised for his behaviour during United's humbling 7-0 defeat against Liverpool on Sunday, but he has been backed to keep the armband by manager Erik ten Hag when club captain Harry Maguire is not on the pitch.

Scholes is not convinced that Fernandes is the right man for the job, though.
