Liverpool and Holland star Georginio Wijnaldum was left incensed on Tuesday after a Dutch journalist questioned his stance on Qatar's human rights violations and football's ongoing issue with racism.
During Tuesday's press conference with the Dutch national team, Wijnaldum and head coach Frank de Boer made a joint-statement over the team's involvement at the controversial 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
It comes after The Guardian reported last month that more than 6,500 migrant workers from India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka have died in Qatar since it won the right to host the World Cup 10 years ago.
