Georginio Wijnaldum admits he 'cannot deny contact' with Barcelona over free transfer this summer following the expiry of the midfielder's Liverpool deal - as he seeks to sign a three-year contract at the Nou Camp

Georginio Wijnaldum has reportedly admitted he is in discussions with Barcelona over a summer move once his Liverpool deal expires at the end of June.

Wijnaldum has already opted against penning a new deal at Anfield, claiming he needs a new challenge following five successful years on Merseyside where he has won the Champions League and the Premier League.

Barcelona have been long time admirers of the midfielder and are in pole position to land the Dutchman this summer.

Wijnaldum is currently with the Dutch national team ahead of Euro 2020, but when asked about his links with Barca he was quoted by Marca as saying: 'I cannot deny the contacts.
