Former Red Dominic Matteo posts all-clear message after recovery

In November 2019, Liverpool’s former No.21 underwent an operation on his brain, and after a period of treatment and recovery, he has now been given the all-clear.

Matteo was keen to express his gratitude to Leeds General Infirmary and St James' Hospital – support which he will never forget - and he posted the below message on his personal Twitter account.

A popular member of the Liverpool side in the 1990s and a regular pundit and commentator on LFCTV in recent years, Matteo made his debut for the Reds in October 1993.

He went on to become a regular under Roy Evans and later Gerard Houllier for four seasons from 1996-97, making a total of 155 appearances for the club.
