A former Liverpool winger is 'set to be named as the new manager of Bordeaux' just 81 days after accepting his current job in Slovenia.
The Spanish international joined the Reds in 2008 and spent two years at the club, scoring five goals and nine assists in 56 appearances.
However, his time was cut short in 2010 after he was suspended by then manager Rafa Benitez for criticising him.
The suspected managerial appointment comes for Bordeaux as they sit 13th in Ligue 2 after suffering four defeats in their first 10 matches of the season.
