Football's top 10 forgotten trophies: Milk Cup, Littlewoods Cup, Canon League trophy and more

This trophy was awarded to the old Division One winners in 1984, 1985 and 1986, which meant it never left Merseyside (that's Kenny Dalglish showing it off in 1986, above). While the rest of the country envied Liverpool and Everton's success, they weren't too jealous of the trophy presented.

When Barclays took over the top flight sponsorship in 1987, unlike Canon they wisely decided the League winners should receive the traditional trophy. They couldn't resist presenting a bit of Barclays silverware, though, so the champions got two trophies to lift. In 1991 Arsenal were bizarrely presented with the old trophy at a Saturday match with Coventry, before getting the Barclays equivalent at another presentation ceremony at a game a couple of days later.
