Fernando Torres: 'I would pay to play with' Steven Gerrard again

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is surprised Sadio Mane was left off the six-man short list for PFA Player of the Year.

Atletico Madrid striker Fernando Torres has told BBC Sport that he would he pay money to play with former Liverpool teammate Steven Gerrard again.

The pair enjoyed a special relationship on and off the pitch during Torres' three-and-a-half seasons at Anfield.

While Gerrard stayed at Liverpool for nearly all of his career, Torres, who moved to the Merseyside club in 2007, completed a controversial £50 million switch to Chelsea in January 2011.
