The club’s community programme, Red Neighbours, teamed up again with the Trussell Trust, which is a national charity that aims to end hunger and poverty in the UK, to deliver a summer series of cookery classes for local families in Anfield.
The ‘Eat Well, Spend Less’ cookery sessions show families how to prepare nutritious meals on a budget and provide the skills and ideas to replicate healthy recipes together at home.
Lisa Polhill, a mum of four from Anfield, said: “The sessions have been brilliant, and the staff are so welcoming and lovely.
“It’s great to be able to find an activity that I can take part in with my kids that’s both enjoyable and educational.
