Ezri Konsa set to stay at Charlton until the summer as Liverpool and Everton baulk at defender's £5m fee

Ezri Konsa appears set to stay at Charlton for the rest of the season with both Liverpool and Everton unwilling to match the League One club's £5million valuation for the highly-rated young defender.

Konsa, an England Under 20 international, has been heavily scouted by Premier League clubs with the Merseyside pair at the forefront of those interested.

Everton swooped to sign striker Ademola Lookman from Charlton for £11m in January last year and Liverpool paid them £3.5m for Joe Gomez in 2015.
