Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has revealed he has not spoken to Gerrard about taking over as manager of Scottish rivals Rangers.
But, he told talkSPORT the former Liverpool captain has ‘always wanted to manage’ and believes he will go on to manage the Reds ‘one day’.
Reports claim Rangers are close to appointing the former Liverpool and England skipper as their next permanent boss after ‘productive talks’.
Some sources even claim Gerrard has already accepted the job and will be unveiled as the new Gers boss in due course.
