A savvy mum from Merseyside has saved 'hundreds' by installing a 'DIY' laundry chute in her home - so her kids don't have to come downstairs to get rid of their dirty washing.
Lyndsey Gynane has been renovating her property with her 43-year-old husband Shaun Gynane for the last year, and said building a laundry chute in her home was 'non-negotiable'.
But after researching the prices online to have one installed, the mum-of-two decided to create her own DIY version to cut costs.
The 45-year-old said it was her idea to create the three-and-a-half-metre chute in her two-storey home, but says the handy work was carried out by Shaun with help from a builder.
