Erling Haaland has taken the Premier League by storm.
The Norwegian has netted 14 times in just eight games, but he further made the headlines on Wednesday after a Sportsmail exclusive report revealed he earns a mammoth £865,000-a-week at Manchester City.
With his blistering start to life in England, it's hard to argue that he hasn't earned every penny of the total, which sees his £375,000-a-week base contract supplemented by several, almost guaranteed bonuses, making him the country's highest-paid player by a long way.
But football - and indeed the Premier League - is no stranger to eye-watering figures, with several of the game's leading clubs backed by the money of some of the world's richest nations, who need not think twice when sanctioning bank-breaking contracts.
