Steven Gerrard has been touted to one day takeover as Liverpool boss and former Reds team-mate Dirk Kuyt as thrown his hat in the ring to become the Anfield legend's assistant manager.
Gerrard is flourishing as a manager, guiding Rangers to their 55th league title this season, in so doing ending Celtic's nine-year domination in Scotland.
The Englishman's title triumph has intensified speculation linking the former Liverpool captain with the Anfield hotseat. Gerrard's contract with the Gers expires in June 2024, as does the contract of Reds boss Jurgen Klopp.
