The Greek central defender has been of interest to Chelsea for a while and the Blues may finally be ready to make their move. Manolas seemed set for a £26million move to Zenit St Petersburg, managed by former Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini, but a deal has stalled because of a dispute over wages. This has left the door open for Chelsea to swoop, in an attempt to bring the 26-year-old to Stamford Bridge, as they look for reinforcements following John Terry’s exit and the seemingly imminent departure of Nathan Ake.
Chelsea are interested in the Juventus centre-back, whom Antonio Conte worked with him in Turin.
