The 23-year-old is in the early stages of a loan stay with the Championship outfit, who are managed by Jürgen Klopp's old friend David Wagner.
The German duo worked together closely during their stints in charge of Borussia Dortmund's first and second teams respectively and share a similar tactical outlook, according to Ward.
And the Wales international, who has helped Town win the first two fixtures of their league campaign this term, expects the close relationship between Klopp and Wagner to be beneficial to his cause.
"For myself personally, Huddersfield is the perfect place," he said.
