Former Liverpool and Chelsea forward Daniel Sturridge has been released by Australian side Perth Glory in his latest career disappointment.
The 32-year-old failed to score for the club, starting just one game with five substitute appearances after joining in October 2021.
His latest attempt to recurrent his career has failed, and he is now once again on the lookout for a club as a free agent.
Perth Glory finished the A-league season bottom of the table, with just four wins from 26 games.
They scored just 20 goals in that time - nine fewer than anyone else - and have today revealed their retained list, with Sturridge on the chopping block.
