Liverpool are to appeal the red card given to Curtis Jones during Liverpool's controversial 2-1 defeat at Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
The midfielder, 22, was sent off for a foul on Yves Bissouma after 26 minutes following a VAR intervention.
Referee Simon Hooper initially gave Jones a yellow card for the challenge, but changed his decision after going to the pitchside monitor.
Jones faces a three-match ban if the red card is not overturned.
If the on-field decision is upheld, he would miss Liverpool's Premier League games against Brighton, Everton and Nottingham Forest.
