Chris Eubank Jr revealed on Tuesday that he has activated the rematch clause in his contract with Liam Smith, setting up a mouth-watering second fight between the British rivals later in 2023.
Smith, 34, came out on top at their previous meeting, earlier in January, stopping Eubank Jr, 33, in the fourth round.
But the pair are now set to be reacquainted in the ring, giving Eubank Jr a chance to avenge the bitter loss - which came after several high-profile controversial exchanges between the pair.
Though a date has not been set in stone yet, Liverpool FC's stadium Anfield has been tipped as a potential destination but it is thought that a bout would need to take place near to the end of the Premier League season at the end of May.
