The Red Devils currently lead their group by three points, and can secure their place in the knockout stage of the Champions League during the next matchday. They have to beat Benfica at Old Trafford and hope Basel defeat CSKA Moscow in Switzerland. Those results would put United on 12 points and CSKA (in third) on three, meaning the Russian outfit could not overtake them in one of the top two spots. If CSKA, as well as United, win in matchday four, the Red Devils would have to pick up one more point to guarantee they qualify for the next round.
