Marc Bridge-Wilkinson couldn't hide his delight as his U18s team bounced back from the Manchester City defeat in style with a 3-0 win away at Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.
Layton Stewart grabbed the headlines with his second hat-trick of the season, but it was the overall team display in stormy conditions that delighted the manager.
"I thought it was a really good team performance," Bridge-Wilkinson told Liverpoolfc.com.
"We limited their chances on goal to efforts mainly from distance and I thought we controlled the game from the start and then managed to get a few more goals in the second half which made it look a bit more comfortable.
