Brendan Rodgers rejects Steven Gerrard claim Liverpool were 'over-confident' against Chelsea

Brendan Rodgers does not believe it was over-confidence that killed Liverpool's Premier League dream in 2014.

Steven Gerrard made the claim in his autobiography after his costly slip led to a 2-0 defeat by Chelsea that allowed Manchester City to lift the title.

Rodgers admits his side were confident ahead of the tie after winning 11 games on the bounce but does not believe it led to their downfall.
