BREAKING NEWS: Jurgen Klopp ESCAPES a touchline ban for his red card against Man City, as Liverpool boss is fined £30,000 by the FA for his touchline tirade which infuriated referees' charity

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been fined £30,000 for his sending-off against Manchester City.

The German boss has, however, not been given a touchline ban despite being shown a red card for remonstrating with assistant referee Gary Beswick.

Klopp was already on edge after several questionable decisions by referee Anthony Taylor, but the one which led him to short-circuit came when wrestled Mo Salah over on the touchline and no foul was awarded.

Asked about the incident he said: ‘So, of course, red card, my fault. I went over the top in the moment.
