Arsenal's hopes of signing Thomas Partey have suffered a blow, with Atletico Madrid wanting to swap the midfielder for Liverpool's Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Partey has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal in recent weeks but Atletico are uncertain whether the Gunners would be able to afford his buyout clause, which stands at £45million.
As reported by The Sun, Atletico are eager to bring in Oxlade-Chamberlain from Liverpool in a straight swap for Partey.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has made 34 appearances for Liverpool across all competitions this season as he has bounced back from the injury problems that hindered him in previous campaigns.
