Arne Slot says he is having sleepless nights ahead of the visit of Paris Saint-Germain and insists Liverpool must put in their performance of the season to progress in Tuesday night's Champions League last-16 second leg.

The Reds pulled off a famous smash-and-grab in the French capital last week with a late Harvey Elliott goal sealing a 1-0 victory after an onslaught from PSG which saw them rack up 27 shots and force goalkeeper Alisson into what he described as the best display of his life.

And ahead of a season-defining week for Liverpool, in which they also play the Carabao Cup final against Newcastle on Sunday, Slot said: ‘In a week like this I do not dream at all.
