Anfield new main stand nearly finished as Liverpool FC test floodlights for the first time

Anfield's new main stand has taken another step closer to completion after the floodlights were tested for the first time.

The redeveloped stand is due to be opened when Jurgen Klopp's side play their opening home game of the season, when they host champions Leicester City on September 10.

Liverpool began their season with a 4-3 win away at Arsenal and now go on the road to face Burnley and Tottenham in the Premier League, before returning to their new-look ground which will have a capacity of 54,167 for the game with the Foxes.
