Scotland captain Andy Robertson suffered a serious-looking shoulder injury during the Euro 2024 qualifier against Spain.
The Liverpool left-back, 29, had to leave the pitch before the break in Seville with his arm cradled in his top after a challenge from Spain goalkeeper Unai Simon.
Robertson was replaced by Everton's Nathan Patterson at 0-0.
It is unclear how long the left-back might face on the sidelines.
Scotland need a draw in Spain to clinch qualification for Euro 2024 before playing a friendly against France on Tuesday.
Robertson looks set to miss that match and could sit out Liverpool's derby meeting with Everton on 21 October.
