Becky Jane netted the opener, which was her first goal in a red shirt, after being set up by Ashley Hodson.
Whiteley then made an inspired triple substitution with Rachel Furness, Amy Rodgers and Melissa Lawley helping the Reds claim the three points.
Lawley fed a lovely pass that allowed Ceri Holland to run through and score on her home debut as Furness then teed up Rodgers to make it 3-0.
