Alberto Moreno appeared to suffer a serious ankle injury in Liverpool's 7-0 demolition of Spartak Moscow at Anfield.
The Reds produced a sparkling display but the scenes of jubilation were tempered by Moreno's knock as he was forced off in tears.
He is likely to miss this weekend's Merseyside derby and will undergo scans on his ankle.
