Wayne Rooney urges Manchester United to keep faith with Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford next season

Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney has urged Manchester United's next boss to keep faith with four players he believes will be important next season.

United are currently enduring a turbulent season after the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, with interim coach Ralf Rangnick unable to significantly change the club's fortunes since arriving last year - the latest disappointing result a 1-1 draw at home to Leicester City.

A number of players' futures could be up in the air with Mauricio Pochettino or Erik ten Hag the frontrunners to take over as permanent boss in the summer, and Rooney - speaking on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football - has pleaded with the club to stick by a handful of players he feels will be important next season.
