VAR 'absolutely spot on' in awarding Leicester their second goal against Fleetwood says Graham Poll on historic night for English football

Former World Cup and Premier League referee Graham Poll hailed a 'ringing endorsement for VAR' after a goal was awarded via technology for the first time in English football.

Leicester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho was initially judged offside when he put the ball in the net after 78 minutes in their FA Cup replay at home to Fleetwood.

However video referee Mike Jones alerted on-field official Jon Moss that Iheanacho was onside, and after a short delay, the goal was given. Leicester went on to win 2-0.
