Roma have moved ahead of Leicester City and West Ham in the race for Sassuolo star Gregoire Defrel.
The striker has been turning heads in Italy this season and now numerous clubs are trying to snap him up before the transfer window closes on Tuesday.
Both Leicester and West Ham are keen on the Frenchman, and their interest has prompted Sassuolo to start scouting for a replacement.
The Italian side are tracking former Swansea striker Alberto Paloschi and they are ready to sit down for talks with his current club, Atalanta.
However, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Paloschi's arrival would not signal Defrel joining Leicester or West Ham - but Roma instead.
