Brendan Rodgers believes Leicester will carry the goodwill of the English football public into Saturday’s FA Cup final against Chelsea at Wembley.
Just a month after the collapse of plans for a European Super League — originally endorsed by Chelsea — Leicester have an opportunity to land a blow for smaller clubs on Saturday.
‘It has been pretty clear, with the talk around the Super League, how the super clubs have been defined,’ said Rodgers.
‘But we would love to continue growing to be that people’s club as such — the club that supporters around the country look at and hope that their own club can do a Leicester in challenging the elite of the game.
