Sheffield United have asked about signing Leicester City goalkeeper Danny Ward as boss Chris Wilder looks to add competition in between the sticks.
Ward has found himself well out of favour under Foxes boss Enzo Maresca in the Championship this season - with both Mads Hermansen and Jakub Stolarczyk ahead of him in the pecking order.
Ward will be hoping for regular football this season in case Wales manage to qualify for Euro 2024 - and he would have a chance of competing with current Blades No 1 Wes Foderingham.
The Blades had previously attempted to prise Anderlecht keeper Kasper Schmeichel, 37, away as he looks for a return to the Premier League.
