Jamie Vardy has been buying his own boots following a disagreement with sponsors Nike.
The England man, who scored in Tuesday night’s 1-1 draw with Italy, split his usual pair in Leicester City’s 2-1 defeat at Everton on January 31.
It is understood that Nike wanted to replace them with a new style of boot, which the 31-year-old is not thought to be a fan of.
Instead, Vardy nipped to a local sports store, put his hand in his pocket and bought a pair of CR7s – the boot inspired by Cristiano Ronaldo.
