Manchester City kept up the pressure on Arsenal by dispatching a resilient Southampton side 4-1 at St Mary's on Saturday evening.
The first-half was very evenly matched until Erling Haaland's header on the stroke of half-time broke the deadlock. The Norwegian got his second of the game - and his 30th of the season - with an excellent acrobatic move to make it 3-0.
Jack Grealish had made it a two-goal cushion earlier in the second half, while Argentina's Julian Alvarez came off the bench to score from the spot to restore Man City's three-goal lead, after Sekou Mara had himself come on as a substitute to get what turned out to be just a consolation for the Saints.
