Chris Wilder's departure from Sheffield United has left a broken group of players mourning the 'loss of their leader', according to caretaker manager Paul Heckingbottom.
The relegation-bound Blades were thrashed 5-0 at Leicester — their worst league defeat since April 2000 — in their first game following the end of Wilder's five-year reign.
Heckingbottom also revealed that he had only learned on Saturday night that he would definitely be in charge at Leicester and that he had to take a Covid test while in charge of an Under-23 game in order to gain clearance.
