Newcastle United’s on-loan striker Islam Slimani will miss his final three games for the Magpies through suspension after accepting a charge of violent conduct.
The Football Association have confirmed the 29-year-old, on loan at St James’ Park from Leicester City this season, was charged after kicking out at West Brom defender Craig Dawson during Saturday's 1-0 Premier League defeat to the Baggies.
While admitting the offence, which was not spotted by referee David Coote at the time, Slimani challenged the severity of the punishment, but failed in a bid to have it reduced.
