Newcastle fans traveling to see their team play in the US won't only be sweating due to sweltering heat, but also over the status of new signing Harvey Barnes, who was went down injured in the final minutes of a 2-1 win over Brighton on Friday.
Barnes, who linked up with his new teammates following the announcement of his £38million move from now-relegated Leicester City last week, sat on the sidelines of Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey, trying to shake off a cramp in his left leg, per the game's broadcasters.
The 25-year-old stayed on the pitch, nonetheless, and was able to continue until the final whistle was blown.
