Manchester United's astonishing run of home draws in the FA Cup and Carabao Cup continues with Newcastle tie their 12th straight at Old Trafford... a sequence which has odds of 4,094/1!

Manchester United have been drawn at home in the cup for the 12th consecutive time - an occurrence which has the astonishing odds of 4,094/1.

The Reds were handed an Old Trafford date with Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup fourth round in Wednesday night's draw to continue the remarkable run dating back to March 2021.

Every one of their FA Cup and Carabao Cup ties since - excluding two-legged semi-finals and games on neutral turf such as Wembley - has been at home.

The sequence is believed to be a new record in British football, eclipsing the 11 home draws for League One Shrewsbury Town in domestic cup competitions between 2017 and 2019.
