Lyon have completed the free signing of Brazilian winger Tete until the end of the season after he left Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk following Russia's invasion of the country last month.
The move follows FIFA's decision to allow clubs to sign players from Ukrainian teams outside the transfer window to help those who have been affected by the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
Brentford and Leicester City were both interested in signing the 22-year-old, who is valued to be worth around £25million.
However, it was the French side that won the race to his signature, which they confirmed on Friday.
