Leicester striker Islam Slimani to have medical at Ligue 1 leaders Lyon on Tuesday with Algerian set to replace Atletico Madrid-bound Moussa Dembele

Leicester City forward Islam Slimani is to undergo a medical at Lyon on Tuesday ahead of completing his transfer.

The 32-year old is out of contract in the summer and Leicester have agreed to let him go now with Slimani out of Brendan Rodgers' plans.

Slimani will replace Moussa Dembele who is joining Atletico Madrid.

Leicester will explore the idea of bringing in a new forward with Celtic's Odsonne Edouard one that is high on their list.

Slimani will sign an 18 month contract with the French side should he pass his medical tomorrow.
