Leicester were beaten by a dubious penalty in their Champions League quarter-final first leg last night — and had a member of their staff sent off in controversial circumstances.
Sports scientist Tom Joel was dismissed, apparently after a complaint by Atletico Madrid when he was seen dishing out energy boosting sachets to Leicester players.
Players often take electrolyte gels to help restore natural salts in the body to prevent dehydration and fatigue.



Inside the energy sachets were likely a quick supply of electrolytes.
